Desert Hot Springs Looks Beyond Cannabis Revenue

The thing that keeps me awake at night, it’s not ‘are we putting enough marijuana cultivation in the city?’ It’s what happens in our state now that recreational marijuana is approved, now that we’re in a position where the whole marketplace has changed.

I hope every cultivation site that opens will be successful, but the city has to be practical and not put all our eggs in one basket.  We’re not in a position up here where we can know what’s going to happen in the future, but I do know that putting only one industry in a town and expecting that to be the thing that drives your economy is fraught with danger.
